Debbie was born and raised in Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in Language Arts Education. Debbie's favorite verse is found in Philippians 4:8, "Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things."

During her time there she found that she loved the environment of the school setting. She then moved from North Carolina before coming to Oklahoma.
During Cathy's off time she loves to sing and spent over 11 years as part of the worship team at her home church in Florida. She also loves spending time with family and LOVES Christmas.
Cathy has 5 children ranging in age from 13 to 29 years, Hayden, Cassidy, Ty, Kiersten, and Ethan, and is happily married to her husband Ned.
"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you not to harm you. Plans to give you hope for the future." - Jeremiah 29:11
Magi Sutton - Upper School Administrative Assistant
Magi joined Crossings in 2022 in a support position in the Lower School and now serves as an Administrative Assistant in the Upper School. Before coming to CCS, she was an Attendance Secretary in Putnam City Schools for four years after spending twenty years as a Medical Assistant.
Mrs. Sutton has been a member of Newchurch since 2014 and has been the Women's Ministry Leader since 2020. She loves planning events for the women of Newchurch, leading Bible Studies.
The Suttons include her husband, Kevin, whom she married in 2014, and five adult children, Brittaney, Brittany, Kasey, Kyle, and Cheyanne, as well as grandkids Braelynn, Skyyler, Kaylynn, James, and Lily. When not working Magi likes to travel, craft, and spend time making memories with her kids and grands!
Magi's favorite Bible verse is Psalm 27:14 "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
Jon Lux - Upper School History
Dr. Jonathan Lux joined CCS in 2016 and returned in 2022 after teaching in China. Upon his return, Dr. Lux taught US English and now serves as the History Department Chair. He accepted a Ph.D. in English from Saint Louis University where he specialized in interdisciplinary studies and early modern English literature; he also holds degrees in history, architecture, Spanish, Russian, and philosophy. Dr. Lux has a published scholarship and a scholarly monograph, The Invention of China in Early Modern England.
Dr. Lux taught for eleven years at the university level before the last six during which he has been privileged to teach in the humanities for private Christian high schools. As a teacher, Dr. Lux believes passionately in the life of the mind, the role of institutions of higher education, and the necessity of critical thinking, embracing the Socratic aphorism that the unexamined life is not worth living. When examining texts and ideas he believes in and teaches a hermeneutics of strict attention to detail and rigorous critical acumen in the apprehension of truth. In everyday life, however, he aspires to a hermeneutics of generosity.
Dr. Lux is fortunate to be married to Sara Elizabeth Lux and likewise blessed to have two children, his daughter Arden and a son named William. Outside the classroom, he enjoys cooking, fishing, biking, reading with his children, and explaining the virtues of eudaimonia. Like C.S. Lewis, he has never found a book long enough or a cup of coffee deep enough to satisfy his interests.
"But test everything; hold fast what is good."
--1 Thessalonians 5:21
Kerri Wike - Upper School Math
Kerrie joined Crossings in 2023 as an Upper School Math teacher. She has a B.M. in Vocal Music Education (K-12) from the University of Tulsa. After college, Kerrie taught K-8 music at a private school in Tulsa and has spent the past ten years as a private instructor.
Kerrie has always loved music, math, and teaching and earned her teaching certificate in intermediate math in 2023. She knows each student will grasp concepts in different manners and truly enjoys helping her students find the learning methods that will work for them and that each student is capable. She believes that this understanding lends itself to the Kingdom perspective that with Christ all things are possible, which translates greatly into their adult life. She loves teaching character-building alongside her subject matter.
When Mrs. Wike is not working, she enjoys taking opportunities to lead worship, read, decorate cakes, and spend quality time with her family. Mr. and Mrs. Wike have been married since 2006, and have been blessed with three sons, Landon, Jacob, Malachi, and a daughter, Julia.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and He will direct your path” Proverbs 3:5-6
