PS/LS MEET THE TEACHER, NEW FAMILY ORIENTATION NIGHT, US PARENT ORIENTATION
1st -4th Grade Parent Orientation
- Join your child’s teacher on Tuesday, August 18th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm for information on the year, classroom procedures, and important information. First grade orientation will be in your child's classroom, second grade parents will meet in the Media Center, third grade orientation will be in your child's classroom, and fourth grade will be in the Activity Center. As a reminder, orientation is for parents only and students will be invited to meet their teacher during student orientation.
5th – 8th Grade Curriculum Knight
- Parent orientation (Curriculum Knight) for 5th-8th grade will be on Thursday, August 20th, from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.
9th-12th Grade Knight School
- Parent orientation (Knight School) for 9th-12th grade will be on Tuesday, August 25th, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm.

Crossings Christian School partners with UDining. Families can pay for school lunches online and in advance. Click here for details on how to set up your online LunchTime payment portal. During the year, visit the "School Lunch Information" page under the "On Campus" tab for the monthly lunch calendar and payment information.
School lunch accounts may also be funded by mailing a check to UDining at the address below. Please include your student’s name and grade in the memo line.

PARENTS WHO PRAY
Parents Who Pray is a time each week when parents can gather together and pray for our students, faculty, staff, and the school as a whole. Parents Who Pray meets each Wednesday, starting on August 19th, from 8:30 am - 9:00 am in the North Field House (building 10 on this map).
Join us for a campus prayer walk on Sunday, August 9th, at 7:00 pm, as we lift our school in prayer before our first day of school.

Meet Some of Our Newest Staff Members
Below are some of our new staff and faculty, as well as some familiar faces who have changed roles.
Administration + Staff

Stephanie Leak - Chief Financial Officer
Stephanie joined CCS in 2026 after more than 30 years of service at MidFirst Bank, where she served as an analyst and supervisor before her most recent role as Senior Vice President, Mortgage Servicing Division Controller.
In addition to Stephanie’s financial aptitude, she has been a longstanding member of her local church for more than 30 years, where she has also served on the Personnel and Finance Committees. Ms. Leak is not new to CCS, as she is known as the doting aunt of recent graduates Spencer ’23 and Addie ’25 Barnhill, attending multiple events and activities on our campus. Stephanie noted that “as (she) has watched them successfully transition into college life,(she) can see how CCS has prepared them academically and grounded them spiritually” and considers it a privilege to contribute to the mission of CCS through this role.
Stephanie desires to utilize her God-given skills and knowledge to serve the Lord and participate in the mission of developing Christ-centered servant leaders through CCS.
Christin Odom - Admissions Assistant
Christin Odom joined Crossings Christian School in 2024 as the Head Coach of the Girls Middle School Soccer program. In 2025, she expanded her role by serving as the Assistant Coach for the Girls Upper School Soccer program, and in 2026, she joined the school’s administrative team as an Admissions Assistant.
Christin earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Belhaven University, where she developed a passion for serving children and families through Christ-centered care and leadership. Early in her career, she spent four years working in Admissions at a children’s home in Mississippi, helping welcome, support, and advocate for children and families during significant life transitions. From 2019 to 2026, Christin faithfully served as a Children’s Minister, leading programs that nurtured the spiritual growth of children while partnering with families to build a lasting foundation of faith.
Christin married her husband, Travis, in 2014 and has two daughters, Millie and Cate Odom. In addition to her professional career, Christin spent several years at home homeschooling and taking care of the spiritual growth and education of her daughters.
Raised in a family with a strong Christian legacy, Christin is passionate about investing in the next generation and helping students discover their God-given gifts. Whether serving on the athletic field, in admissions, or in ministry, she strives to lead with integrity, humility, and excellence while pointing others to Christ.

Caleb Philliber - Technology Systems Coordinator
Caleb is a CCS alumnus who joined the CCS team in 2015. He holds a B.S. in Cybersecurity from Southern Nazarene University.
Passionate about technology from an early age, Caleb enjoys understanding how systems work and connect. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Olivia, serving at his church through the sound ministry and volunteer opportunities, and exploring the outdoors by biking, camping, and hiking.

Madison joined CCS in 2025. She holds a Master's degree in Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences. She brings several years of experience working at a preschool in Edmond.
Madison has been married to her husband, Andy, since 2015. They have 3 energetic boys: Trey, Parker, and Brooks. Their family enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time at their sons' sporting events.
She believes in planting seeds of faith early and finds joy in sharing God's love with children through everyday conversations and lessons. She is excited to live this out daily, helping students grow both academically and spiritually.

Brennan Bumpas - PS 5 Day Teacher
Brennan Bumpas began attending Crossings as a student in 2005 and graduated from Crossings in 2021. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. After teaching in a public school during the 2025-2026 school year, Brennan is excited to return to Crossings in the community that helped shape her faith and love for learning.
Brennan has always known she wanted to be a teacher and feels grateful for the opportunity to teach in a Christ-centered environment where students are encouraged to grow academically and spiritually. She is passionate about creating a classroom where children feel loved, supported, and excited to learn each day.

Sarah Ellis - PS 2 Day Assistant
Christine Jackson - PS 5 Day Assistant
Christine joined Crossings Christian School in 2026. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Saint Louis University. Christine has previously taught kindergarten, second-grade, and preschool. Most recently, she was a Mother’s Day Out teacher at Crossings Community Church.
Christine has been married to her husband, John, for six years. They have three children: Jack, Casey, and Juliette.
Christine has a passion for teaching and strives to create a community of lifelong learners who delight in God’s word.

Jenny Morrison - PS 2 Day Teacher
Jenny grew up in various places, including Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah, but considers Oklahoma home. She received her B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oklahoma State University in 2007. Prior to staying home with her girls, she was a preschool teacher at a private preschool in Denver, CO.
Jenny loves the preschool age. She enjoys their curiosity, humor, and love of learning! You can always count on preschoolers to find the best in everyone and everything. What better way to spend your day than to see God’s creation than through the eyes of a child.
Jenny and her husband Chris have been married since 2008. Together, they have 3 girls who attend Crossings. In her spare time, Jenny enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and the outdoors.

Rachel Poe - PS 2 Day Teacher
Rachel joined CCS in the fall of 2025. She has her Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from the University of Oklahoma. Before joining Crossings, Rachel began her education career in Deer Creek Public Schools, where she enjoyed eleven years teaching pre-kindergarten.
Mrs. Poe loves kiddos and finds her calling to be serving children along their educational journey. She has known since a young age that she wanted to become a teacher and bring joy to the classroom just like her educators did for her! Mrs. Poe believes the most important thing in the classroom is mutual respect and love for each other, which is all centered around Jesus’ love for us. Her favorite subject is reading, and she finds great joy when a child’s whole face lights up when they read for the first time!
Rachel married her husband, Todd, in November 2024. They have a daughter, Adelyn, who has stolen their hearts completely. She was born May 2026! Mrs. Poe is close to her entire family, all of whom live in Oklahoma, and two of her nieces spend their days at CCS as well! Rachel and her family love to travel and see the world, hike, sail at Lake Hefner, and go on new adventures!

Debbie Troutman - PS 2 Day Assistant
Debbie grew up in Cleveland, OH, and later moved to Oklahoma. Before coming to Crossings, she was blessed to get to stay home and raise her two sons. She joined the CCS family in 2009. Debbie loves working with preschoolers because of how much they grow and learn over the course of a school year.
Debbie has two sons, two daughters-in-law, and one amazing grandson. Debbie loves to spend time with her family and friends playing games, doing things outdoors, and traveling.

Taylor Beth Burger - PK 3 Day Assistant
Taylor Beth Burger joined Crossings Christian School in 2026. She has a B.S. in Special Education from the University of Oklahoma. Taylor Beth taught high school and middle school math for 10 years before teaching preschool at Mother’s Day Out at Crossings Church since 2024.
Mrs. Burger is most excited about being a part of such a joyful community of teachers, administrators, and students. Crossings is a special school, and the love of God is evident from every hallway to every classroom. She feels honored to be here and counts it as a huge blessing.
Taylor Beth married her husband, Brett, in 2018. Their children, Ellie and Cole, both attend CCS. The Burger family loves to travel; Lake Eufaula and Anna Maria Island, FL, are their two favorite spots!

Marla Howeth - PK 5 Day Teacher
Marla has been with CCS since the Belle Isle days in 2006 and continues serving in preschool. She holds a B.A. in Education from Southern Nazarene University and foundational studies in Early Childhood Education from the University of Oklahoma. She views teaching in Early Childhood as a ministry of the heart.
Her passion is partnering with parents to serve as a bridge between home and school and to foster a joy of lifelong learning in every child. She creates a nurturing, hands-on, play-based learning environment that is inclusive, where her students feel seen, heard, and valued as they progress spiritually, academically, and in character development. She loves seeing the “Aha-Moments” on her students’ faces when learning takes place, feeling so proud of themselves! Her favorite thing about teaching at CCS is the opportunity to integrate the love of Christ into every lesson.
When not working, Marla loves being with her husband and their large blended family- they call “The Howeth Bunch,” established in 1990- which includes eight children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They love traveling, golfing, and spending time on the water. They also have a golden retriever, who is their biggest baby.

Anne Ledbetter - PK 5 Day Assistant
Anne Ledbetter joined Crossings Christian School in 2026. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. Before coming to CCS, Anne served as a Pre-K Aide and Kindergarten Aide at a local private Christian school and has also been a regular substitute teacher at CCS over the last few years. Anne considers it a blessing and a privilege to teach, guide, and point young students to Jesus in all they learn and do.
Anne married her husband Ted in 2004. They have three children: Lucy, Jon, and Parker. She enjoys being with her family and friends, cheering on her kids at their various sports and activities, exercising, music, Thunder basketball, and a good cup of coffee!

Haley Neumann - PK 5 Day Teacher
Haley was born and raised in South Texas. Her family relocated to Oklahoma in 2018. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
She and her husband, Nathan, married in 2002 and have one kid who attends Crossings and one who graduated from CCS in 2026 and attends Texas Tech University. Haley worked as a Pediatric Nurse for 10 years before taking a break to stay at home to focus on caring for her family. She joined the CCS staff as a substitute teacher in 2019, moving on to be a preschool assistant before becoming a preschool lead teacher in 2026.
She has a deep love for working with children, loving the opportunity to see their minds explore and grow and to teach them about the love of Jesus.

Raven-Lee Babb - Kindergarten Teacher
Raven-Lee Babb joined CCS in 2026. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining Crossings, Mrs. Babb taught kindergarten for four years in public schools.
Mrs. Babb is passionate about education and loves working in the classroom. She enjoys fostering meaningful relationships and creating a strong sense of community with students and families. She values hands-on learning, incorporating play into the classroom, extending grace and understanding, and helping every child grow and succeed.

Bethany Van Boskirk - Kindergarten Assistant
Bethany Van Boskirk joined Crossings Christian School in the fall of 2025. She holds a B.A. in Christian Ministry with an emphasis in Communication. Before coming to Crossings, Mrs. Van Boskirk taught Pre-K and Kindergarten at a private school in Colorado for several years. She also studied piano performance for ten years and was a private piano instructor for five years.
One of Mrs. Van Boskirk’s foundational values is raising the next generation with a Christian worldview. She enjoys teaching children to not only learn about core subjects in school, but to seek out how those pieces fit into the world God has created and their purpose in it. She brings an element of fun while connecting with students through meaningful listening and encouraging them in their faith in Christ.
Bethany married her husband, Bret, in 2012. They have two children, Audrey and Jase. While Mrs. Van Boskirk has held different professional roles throughout her career, she has found being a mother to her children to be the most rewarding. The Van Boskirk family enjoys spending time together through outdoor activities, and they particularly enjoy traveling to their home state of Colorado to jeep, bike, hike, and fish!

Addi McColl - 2nd Grade Teacher
Addison McColl joined CCS in 2025. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Baptist University. Before coming to CCS, Mrs. McColl taught the 2nd grade in Shawnee.
Mrs. McColl loves being in the classroom and working with students. She enjoys building relationships with students and watching them grow. She believes the classroom is the best place for curiosity, allowing for students to be excited and ready to learn.

Julie Reed - LS Reading Specialist
Julie Reed joined Crossings Christian School in 2026. She earned a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Penn State University and a Master’s in Reading and Language Arts Education from Millersville University. Before coming to CCS, Julie taught in many elementary grade levels in both public and private schools in Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Reed’s family includes her husband, Patrick, two adult sons, Ryan and Mike, and two golden retrievers, Bella and Annie. Mrs. Reed and her husband moved to Oklahoma with their two dogs in 2026. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, visiting her sons, and golfing.

Drew Dennis - MS Bible and Technology
Drew Dennis joined Crossings Christian School in 2026. He has a B.S. in Kinesiology and a Master's in Sports Management & Administration, both from Southern Nazarene University. Before coming to CCS, Drew taught Computer Applications and assisted with boys basketball at public schools.
Drew got married to his wife, Shelby, in 2019. They have one boy together, Bryson who is almost two years old. The Dennis family loves to go to the OKC Zoo, travel to visit friends, and watch OU football and Thunder basketball. Coach Dennis is very excited and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Crossings family.

Meredith Walvoord - 5th Grade English
Meredith Walvoord joined Crossings Christian School in 2026. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas in 2015. After graduating, she moved to Edmond to serve as a children’s minister. Mrs. Walvoord completed her secondary education coursework through the College of Education at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2018.
Mrs. Walvoord taught middle school English in local public schools from 2018 to 2021, before staying home to raise her two children. She is excited to be back in the classroom and feels blessed to teach at CCS. Mrs. Walvoord is passionate about creating an engaging and positive classroom environment where students grow academically while building a strong foundation in Christ.
Mrs. Walvoord married her husband, Luke, in 2018. The Walvoord family has two wonderful children, Jack and Lucy. When Mrs. Walvoord isn’t teaching, she enjoys traveling, reading, embroidery, and spending time with friends and family.

Stacia Paul - 6th Grade Social Studies
Stacia joined CCS in 2026. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Oklahoma State University.
Before teaching at CCS, Stacia taught in public schools for over 11 years, working with students in 5th through 8th grades.
Stacia has two children: her son, Taylor, and his wife, Paige; and her daughter, Hadley Mae, and her husband, Caleb. She was blessed to stay home with her children when they were young while remaining actively involved through volunteering at their school and church, and now she is also blessed with two grandchildren who attend CCS.
Stacia is excited to build meaningful relationships with her students and to come alongside parents in supporting their children - not only academically, but also in their walks with Christ.

Samantha James - US Administrative Assistant
Samantha joined CCS in 2026 as an Upper School Administrative Assistant. She began working as a school secretary in 2022 in public schools. Samantha spent most of her life in Enid, Oklahoma, before moving to Edmond in 2024 with her husband, Jay, and their two sons. The school setting has always held a special place in her heart, and she loves having the opportunity to make a positive impact on the students around her.
In her free time, Samantha enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending her sons’ various sports activities, participating in Bible studies, and crafting.

Magi Sutton - US Registrar
Magi joined Crossings in 2022 in a support role in the Lower School. In 2023, she transitioned to serve as an Administrative Assistant in the Upper School and moved into the role of Upper School Registrar in August 2026. Prior to joining CCS, she worked as an Attendance Secretary in a local public school system for four years, following a twenty-year career as a Medical Assistant.
Mrs. Sutton has been a member of a local church since 2014 and has served as the Women’s Ministry Leader since 2020. She enjoys planning events for the women and leading Bible studies.
Magi and her husband, Kevin, whom she married in 2014, have five adult children - Brittaney, Brittany, Kasey, Kyle, and Cheyanne - and several grandchildren: Braelynn, Skyyler, Addy, Kaylynn, James, and Lily. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, crafting, and creating meaningful memories with her family.

Michael Brown - US Band Director
Michael joined the faculty in 2013 and has a B.A. in Music Education and M.A. in School Administration both from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Mr. Brown is intentional about using music and the arts to show the love of Jesus to everyone we come into contact with as we develop lifelong skills. From contests and competitions to football games and concerts, we are called to be a light unto the world. The arts are a gift from God and the fine arts department strives to glorify Him through every performance and event.
The Brown family includes wife Charissa and two children, Austin and Taylor. When not at work, Mr. Brown enjoys photography, movies, sports, particularly OSU and the OKC Thunder, and hanging out with friends and family.

Andy Huggins - US English
Andy Huggins joined Crossings Christian School in 2026. He is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with multiple bachelor's degrees and a master’s degree. Before joining the CCS family, he taught at private Christian schools in Arizona and Edmond.
Mr. Huggins is passionate about helping students grow beyond the discipline he teaches. He is excited to join the English department, teaching Christ-centered students to cultivate critical thinking and communication skills to help prepare them for their futures after CCS.
The Huggins family includes wife, Michelle, daughters Izzy and Aubrie, and son, Alex. When not working, Mr. Huggins loves coaching and helping his kids with their sports and extracurricular activities. In between their activities, Mr. Huggins enjoys relaxing over a friendly game of chess and traveling around the country visiting National Parks with his family.

Greg Tabers - US Technical Arts Coordinator / Teacher
Greg Tabers joined the CCS family in 2026. He attended Point Loma Nazarene University and the University of California, San Diego, where he studied Music Theory and Composition and Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts.
Prior to joining CCS, Greg served as a Technical Director in California and as a Production Manager for the Kids and Students programs at Crossings Community Church. He has a heart for mentorship, having trained numerous interns who have since launched successful careers in the AV industry. Greg’s professional background spans the full spectrum of technical arts - from live production for church services and Broadway-style musicals to corporate system design, programming, and installation.
Outside of work, Greg is a passionate creator who enjoys writing music and diving into post-production audio work. He is an avid sports fan who appreciates any game played at a high level. Some of his favorite teams are the 49ers and the Sooners. Greg lives in OKC with his wife, Tanya, and their three girls, Karisa, Kasandra, and Kaelyn.
Greg is excited to partner with CCS in AV excellence and is dedicated to training the next generation of technical professionals to serve as a light for Christ in their field.

Rae Burdett - US Athletic Director
Coach Rae Burdett joined CCS in 2020, serving a variety of roles in the Upper School and Athletic program. Coach Burdett holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Sports Administration. Before stepping down from her coaching roles to serve as the Athletic Director, Coach Burdett led the Knights Cheer program to 11 State Championships, as well as their first competition on the national stage, where they ranked in the top ten in two separate divisions.
As the Athletic Director, Coach Burdett aims to ensure a program that cultivates continuity, consistency, and a Christ-centered culture that supports and equips both student-athletes and their coaches, always remembering that it is Christ’s name written on every building and jersey.
In her free time, Rae enjoys traveling, exercising, and attending athletic events with her friends and family.

Bailey Briscoe - US Athletic Administrative Assistant
Bailey Briscoe joined CCS in 2026 as the Athletic Administrative Assistant. Before joining CCS, Bailey worked in public schools for four years, serving in a variety of classroom roles while also contributing to a highly successful cross-country and track program. Bailey earned a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University.
As the Athletic Administrative Assistant, Bailey is passionate about helping students grow athletically, academically, and spiritually in a Christ-centered environment. Bailey believes God has called her to serve and encourage students through education and athletics while helping them build strong character, meaningful relationships, and a foundation of faith that will guide them beyond their school years.
Bailey and her husband, Andrew Briscoe, have been married since 2024 and are expecting their first daughter in September. In their free time, they enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, watching sporting events, and spending time outdoors.

School Uniform Information
- Uniforms are required for kindergarten through twelfth grade students. Uniform attire is required Monday-Thursday and denim pants and approved CCS spirit shirts are approved as Friday wear. NOTE: All uniform polos must include the monogrammed crest. All outerwear worn inside the school building should be approved CCS wear. Please click here to read the uniform policy.
