Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13-14

The Crossings Christian School golf program strives to be an example of dedication both on and off the golf course. We know that excellence is not achieved by accident but by dedication and perseverance. The team verse is Philippians 3:13-14, “13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” We know that every shot will not be perfect, and when it is not, we will forget that attempt and focus on the next shot. This is a lesson we can use in our everyday walk with Christ, knowing that every day is a new attempt to be more like him. Our goal is not only to be the best golfers on the course but that every opponent sees our dedication to our sport and our faith. Furthermore, we hope that our opponents look forward to playing with us because we exemplify Christ in the way we talk and the way we interact with them on the golf course.
