SPIRITUAL FORMATION

The mission of Crossing Christian School is “to develop students into Christ-centered servant leaders who are spiritually and academically prepared for college and life.”

The school employs multiple avenues and methods in order to accomplish spiritual formation. CCS has weekly age-appropriate chapel services that foster growth in faith and spiritual development, each emphasizing the school's annual character theme.

At CCS, Bible class is a core subject in which students are engaged with the word of God and are challenged to memorize scripture to help build a Biblical worldview. Mentor and discipleship experiences are emphasized at each division level through a variety of opportunities including Bible studies at the lower, middle, and upper schools along with weekly discipleship groups in the upper grades.

Service opportunities are also foundational in the spiritual formation process. We accomplish this through drives and collections, community service projects, partnering with local non-profit organizations, and required community service hours.

In essence, Spiritual Formation is taking the head knowledge of Christ and connecting it to the heart knowledge so that it is exemplified in a life committed to and reflecting Christ.
