WELCOME TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL OF CROSSINGS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
Our goal at Crossings Christian School is to provide middle school-age students with a nurturing environment and Christ-centered education. We are committed to providing a challenging academic curriculum. Our teachers are subject matter experts with hearts for the daily challenges adolescents face. Spiritual development and Christian values are integrated into teaching and discipline. We provide a plethora of opportunities and enrichment with eighteen exploratory blocks from fifth to eighth grade. Our goal is to produce students who are academically and spiritually ready for upper school.
A STRONG FOUNDATION
The goal of Crossings Christian School Middle School is to provide fifth through eighth-grade students a Christ-centered education within a nurturing environment and challenging academics. Middle school students are in a stage of development when habits, character, and values are solidified and look to their peers for attention, acceptance, and to know more about the world around them.
It is a privilege to partner with parents and families as we work to develop Christ-centered servant leaders who are academically and spiritually ready for upper school.
SPIRITUAL FORMATION
Spiritual development and Christian values are integrated into teaching and daily curriculum. Partnering with parents is an essential part of our mission. God tells us that training our children must be a consistent effort. This effort takes place when our children get up each morning, are at home, are away from the house and lie down to go to sleep. We provide daily Bible classes and God’s word is integrated into every part of our academic curriculum. Optional Bible study opportunities are also a part of the everyday routine and weekly chapel provides opportunities for a collective time of worship and prayer. Teachers are committed to being spiritual mentors and leading students to grow in their walk with Christ.
CURRICULUM
Teachers are subject matter experts with hearts for the daily challenges adolescents face and our advanced curriculum aligns with our college preparatory mission. Students learn valuable daily skills to prepare them for upper school and for the tests that will advance them to college. Enrichment opportunities are designed to enhance the vertically-aligned curriculum through the addition of innovative learning experiences which extend beyond the classroom. We provide sixteen exploratory blocks from fifth to eighth grade that will provide students with a multitude of experiences and opportunities to help them grow academically and artistically. Students are also exposed to a wide variety of fine art choices such as vocals, drama, debate, band and orchestra.
