The school offers specialized reading intervention for current students in grades kindergarten through fourth grade who qualify for extra support in language and reading. The number of students enrolled in the program is limited and students are admitted based on a priority system.

In addition, beginning in 3rd grade, Crossings Christian School offers Discovery, a learning therapy program with instructors certified through the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD). This is an individualized intervention designed to strengthen the underlying causes of learning difficulties. Students enrolled at CCS can be recommended for this program by their classroom teacher and the learning support team.

Our NILD specialists also provide an earlier intervention called Search and Teach, intended for our younger students struggling with learning readiness skills. All therapies are at an additional cost.

CCS is a member of the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association (OSSAA) and offers a wide variety of activities. Athletics include football, basketball, baseball, competitive cheer, pom, cross country, golf, softball, girls soccer, tennis, track and wrestling. Other activities include competitive academic teams and individual events, band, orchestra, vocal music, drama, robotics, and Cross-X, and debate. We are always interested in opportunities for our students to demonstrate their talents while displaying God’s love for others. Our primary focus for extra-curricular events is to cultivate Christian character in our students.

Crossings Christian School offers preschool through 12th grade.

CCS takes the safety and security of our students and staff very seriously. We work with Crossings Community Church to implement a plan for the entire Crossings campus. We employ sheriffs, off-duty policemen, and CLEET certified security guards who are fully trained to provide measures to ensure our safety and security. While there are many measures in place, not all will be discussed in order to further insure campus safety. In addition, all divisions execute fire, tornado, and lock down drills. Each building has hardened rooms for tornados designed using FEMA safe room guidelines and standards, built to withstand the impact and pressure of 250 mph winds.

Yes, CCS requires teachers to be certified with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Yes, ACSI, our accrediting agency is recognized by the state of Oklahoma and is a member of OPSAC, the Oklahoma Private School Accreditation Commission.

CCS is a ministry of Crossings Community Church. CCS is a separate 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and is financially separate from Crossings Community Church. While the two organizations are financially separate, the church supports the school through access to church facilities, programs, and in many other ways. The Crossing Community Church Board of Elders must approve all School Board nominees and two elders from CCC must sit as voting members on the School Board. Marty Grubbs, CCC senior pastor, sits on the School Board as an ex-officio member.

At Crossings Christian School, curriculum refers to the entire school program, from classroom instruction, to chapel, to extra-curricular activities. Our goal is to develop students into young people with a thoroughly biblical worldview and with skills to excel in college. We consider the teacher to be the living Christian curriculum. In regard to textbooks, we use materials from both Christian and secular publishers. We biblically integrate curriculum and don’t take for granted that because educational material comes from a Christian publisher that is it the best choice for developing our students academically or spiritually. There will be additional costs, some of which are for uniforms, lunches, field trips, musical instrument purchases, and sports. There are also fundraising opportunities that are optional.

Crossings Christian School has in place an asbestos management plan. We have been inspected by the Department of Labor and are in compliance with the EPA and state asbestos regulations. The management plan is available for inspection through the Business Office during regular business hours by appointment only.
