The focus of all our sports at CCS is to cultivate character qualities that prepare our athletes for successful Christian living after graduation. Results are important…but in tennis – we want our players to understand the real importance of competing! Discipline (Hebrews 12:11-13), hard work (Isaiah 40:29-31), the setting and attainment of goals, responding to authority, self–sacrifice, humility (Philippians 2:3) and especially composure under pressure (Galatians 6:9) are the qualities our coaches work to convey. The goals of the CCS Tennis program are fun, teamwork, to present mental and physical challenges, respect for opponents as well as teammates, valuable life lessons from a sport which can be played throughout life and can definitely shape life, and most importantly, play for the glory of and to honor God.
