ATHLETICS
CCS is a member of the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association (OSSAA). Our student-athletes compete in 19 OSSAA sanctioned sports: baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball fast-pitch, tennis, track, volleyball and wrestling. Our Spirit Squads, cheerleading and pom, not only compete but also help promote school spirit and enthusiasm while encouraging, supporting and serving our athletic teams.
The athletic programs at CCS seek to provide our student-athletes a setting with which to glorify God through the development and exercise of their God-given abilities, talents and character. As Knights, we believe that while we train and compete with our best effort, the development of Godly character is infinitely more important and valuable.
For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.– I Timothy 4:8
This is our mission for CCS athletics. Through a competitive athletic environment, CCS Athletics seeks to equip our student-athletes with Christ-centered life skills and godly character. It is our aim as CCS student-athletes and coaches to do all for the glory of God and to show others the love of Christ.
As a CCS parent or fan, you play an important role in helping to fulfill the mission of CCS and the Athletic Department. Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in raising your sons and daughters to be committed and compassionate Christ-followers. Athletics offers a unique opportunity for us as parents and fans to show the love and grace of Christ (I Tim. 1:5) to others in the midst of an intense, competitive and often emotional environment. Parents and fans can also assist the Athletics Department by joining the Knights Nation Booster Club. The Booster Club provides many opportunities for you to get involved and to serve.
We thank you for your interest in CCS Athletics. To enhance your son or daughter’s experience at CCS, I personally invite him or her to get involved and to participate in one of the many activities we offer. Please call the Athletic Office if we can help in any way.
Let’s Go Knights!
