1st Grade

Kim began teaching at Crossings in 2008. She has a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Oklahoma. Before coming to CCS, she taught in Putnam City Public Schools for seven years. During her career she has had experience in Kindergarten, First, and Second Grades.

Mrs. Balan has a desire to motivate and inspire students for a life long commitment to Christ and learning.

When asked what she enjoys best about teaching, she says she delights in the bond created with each child and has a passion for teaching children to read and write.

She is married to David, and they are blessed with two children, Parker and Connor.

Kim loves spending time with her family, watching her boys play sports, going camping, gardening, decorating and watching Sooner football.
