Desiree joined CCS in 2008. She grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma and earned her B.A. in Art Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She has taught for over 14 years in pubic schools in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas in both Elementary and High school levels.

She loves watching her students get engrossed in their work. We are created in the image of God and He is the ultimate creative artist. She feels blessed to work here and hopefully have a positive impact on her students lives. Her favorite mediums to work in are watercolor, and clay.

Mrs. Mathews also has the pleasure to coach Cross Country and Track. She syas "I love art but, running with the MS/HS kids makes my day complete." When not working, Desiree loves to spend time with her family and friends.
